Richwood First Class is a 1999 bay stallion owned by Mary Hazelwood of Richwood Morgans in California. “Class” is the result of over 45 years of selective breeding of Old Government, Western Working, Brunk and Lippitt bloodlines. “Class” started his training in dressage with Alejandro Salazar of Rancho Pura Vida in Shingle Springs, California, during 2004.

“Class” showed exceptional talent as Salazar continued to work with him and competed with him in Open Dressage Competition, where “Class” did his job as a Morgan winning and placing well against more traditional dressage horses - including foreign bred and BIG horses. “Class” and Alejandro unfailingly gained attention from competitors and judges alike. This team of horse and trainer also competed successfully in Class A Morgan shows in 2005, bringing home the blues and championships in these shows in dressage and hunter jumper classes as well.
